After a few years as a high-ranking drug-dealer, Roemellos girlfriend starts to disapprove of his lifestyle, and when the danger of his job starts to heighten, Roemello starts to question his life as well. When the two attempt to get out of the bad scene, the protagonist’s brother won’t let him leave.
The film does a good job of portraying both sides of the drug-dealing lifestyle, often making viewers attach to the protagonist emotionally. Themes such as guilt, regret, and redemption are present in the story, and the action-packed plot will keep you invested through the entire film.
6. West Side Story

Although it is a musical, West Side Story is about two people from rival gangs falling in love. Set in the upper west side of New York, the two gangs (the Sharks and the Jets) fight for their own turf as even more complications arise because of the growing feelings of Tony and Maria.
