This 2007 film follows the career of London’s finest cop, Nicholas Angel, who has an arrest record that’s 400% higher than any other officer’s. To keep him on a bit of a leash, his superiors transfer Nicholas to the crime-free village, Sandford. There he partners with the eager officer, Danny Butterman, who believes Angel is a real-life bad boy and that he’ll get to go on car chases and gunfights.

Although Nicholas first dismisses these claims of an adventure-filled life, he soon realizes that Sandford is not what it seems. A series of accidents across the village bring the car-chasing and gun fighting adventures that Danny dreamed of to reality.

Hot Fuzz used over 100 action films for inspiration and is somewhat a parody of American action movies. The humor-filled film is a cast and crew of Shaun of the dead. The film was well-received by fans and critics alike, emerging as one of the best action movies of all time.

2. Spider-Man: Far From Home

Peter Parker has to clean up the mess left over after Avengers: Endgame when he and his friends go to Europe for a summer trip. Peter struggles to be a typical teenager and focus on his love interest, MJ, played by the humorous and witty Zendaya, and get to the bottom of the creatures responsible for natural disasters and destruction around the continent.

All through the trip, Peter tries to keep his identity anonymous and solve the destructive creatures’ mystery. Played by Tom Holland, Spider-man must get to the heart of it all, where Mysterio, the superhero who keeps saving the day, may just be hiding something.

I loved the movie and enjoyed every bit. Far from Home is the ideal blend of action, adventure, and a bit of goofy teenage romance. If you are looking for an action movie to enjoy with your tweens, I’d recommend this pick for them.

Leonardo De Caprio and Brad Pitt come together to enact this film set in Los Angeles, 1969, and based on a true story. The 2019 film portrays the last moments of Hollywood’s golden age as it follows long-time friends TV-star Rick Dalton and his stunt double Cliff Booth. The two friends try to keep their heads above the water as the world they are used to, the movie industry keeps changing.

After making some terrible choices, Rick’s once-promising career on TV is now dwindling. However, he’s still rubbing shoulders with the rich as Haron Tate and her husband Roman Polanski move next door. Rick hopes the move will present a networking opportunity, but 8th August 1969 sees the three meet in a violent confrontation.

The movie embeds several real-life people who were part of Hollywood in the 60s. The exceptional acting by industry-leading actors and actresses, including Margot Robbie, earned the film several awards, including the Best Motion Picture at the 77th Golden Globe awards.

The life of the boys in blue is packed with action and adventure, which is why this action-comedy made it to the list. The 2012 film showcases the lives of two underachieving officers assigned to go undercover and try to nub the drug ring selling synthetic drugs to high school students.

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum play Morton Schmidt and Greg Jenko, the said police officers. The undercover operation entails them swapping their badges and guns for backpacks, and they soon realize high school isn’t the same, seven years after their graduation. What’s more, both officers are forced to confront high school ghosts they thought were buried.

The action-comedy movie is an adaptation of the 1987 TV series by the same name and paved the way for several spin-offs and sequels. The film was well-received, with critics particularly acclaiming Tatum’s performance. It received several nominations in 2012 and 2013 and won a couple of them.

5. Jumanji: The Next Level

The gang gets together again in this sequel to 2017’s hit Jumanji. This time, they have to brave unknown and unexplored parts to rescue one of their teammates and escape the world’s most dangerous game.

The movie starts by showcasing the characters leading their lives in the real world. While everyone is doing fine, Spencer is struggling after breaking up with Martha. All this time, he’s kept the broken Jumanji game and goes back in, prompting his friends to go after him. This time, his grandfather and friend, Milo, also get pulled into the game.

The on-screen chemistry between the characters is commendable. Just a heads-up, though, the game characters die in several subtle violent ways like animal attacks and being blown up. But, just like the prequel movie, The Next Level has a satisfying ending.

Jumanji: The Next Level provides an excellent blend of humor, action, adventure, and wit. If you like a fantastic action-packed movie, then you’re going to love this choice.

6. Bloodshot

Despite it having relatively low rating compared to other picks in the list, this action-filled movie is going to have you sitting on the edge. Bloodshot tells the story of Ray Garrison, a marine who’s resurrected by scientists after he and his wife are murdered. He becomes a biotech killing machine, thanks to the nanotechnology used on him. He starts training with the super soldiers, without having an idea of what his former life looked like.

Ray starts recalling his life in bits, and when he finally has the murderer’s face in his memory, he breaks out of the facility in search of vengeance. However, he soon discovers that the facility’s owner keeps reprogramming Ray’s memory and using him to take out his rivals.

Vin Diesel plays Bloodshot’s role, and before you dismiss it as just another Vin Diesel movie, you should give it a try. The Fast and Furious star gives an exemplary performance giving this movie all the action-packed punches it needs. You’re in for a treat should you add this film to your watchlist. The film’s special effects are fantastic, and you should undoubtedly try watching it in 3D or IMAX.
