The original 2005 version of Oldboy is fantastic. Far better than the more recent English version. An addictive thriller from the very start. A man trapped in a room for years, with no reason or who has put him there. Once he finally escapes little does he realise everything going on has been carefully planned.
Originally this movie was recommended to me by the guy at our old video rental store, a real shame they have now gone. Stunning fight scenes with no wires or special effects, a plot line full of twists. Oldboy is definitely one to watch, and I promise you will be hooked within the first 5 minutes.
